For over 50 years the Davis family has been working alongside this amazing bird at their property on the outskirts of West Wyalong. They have both survived through the harshest of droughts, and they have both managed to stand the tests of time. Luckily for the Malleefowl as most of the land in the 1960s was being cleared for agricultural use such as cropping and grazing and if it wasn’t for the Davis family it would be very unlikely there would be any Malleefowl left in the area today.
